Dear Sir:

The contract requires us to (describe work, such as, paint CMU walls with epoxy paint).

Although we have done the work in accordance with the contract, the specified method simply will not work (such as, the paint keeps peeling off).

Please provide immediate direction as to how we are to proceed. This problem is delaying work in the area affected and (may, will) delay the completion of the work as a whole.
