Dear Sir:

By letter (transmittal) dated , you disapproved our schedule because it shows that we plan to complete the work in advance of the contract completion date.

The contract specified that we are responsible for scheduling the work, and we have the right to schedule the work in the most efficient manner. Surely the Government does not object to having the benefit of the completed facilities sooner than it had planned.

We believe that we can complete the work early, and that is the manner in which we are going to prosecute this job. We do not plan to change our work schedule. As directed, we are submitting a new schedule showing completion of the work on the contract completion date. However, we will proceed with the work in accordance with our early completion schedule.

If you want to take over the scheduling for this project, please send us the Government’s schedule and direction to proceed with that schedule, along with a change order that we can price for implementing your schedule
