Dear Sir:

Regarding your letter dated , we have investigated the situation and have advised you that the problem is not due to our fault or negligence, and therefore does not fall under our warranty requirements. You directed us to repair the problem anyway.

This is to advise that we a re proceeding under protest, and will be forwarding a Request for Equitable Adjustment for this extra work when the costs can be determined.
